Britannia has recently expanded their IPAF Training Course offering to include category 1b – the trailer mounted machine. This addition to the library of courses at Britannia adds to the IPAF scissor lift (3a) and self-propelled boom (3b).
Most health and safety legislation requires that suitable training in the use of work equipment for working at height is undertaken and employers have a legal obligation to train employees. IPAF, the International Powered Access Federation has developed the training courses with both safety legislation and best practice online and more than 90,000 operators pass through accredited training centres each year across the world.
The trailer mounted machines which fall into category 1b, along with the other machinery are becoming increasingly popular in a variety of industries because they are convenient and offer a cost effective alternative scaffolding and ladders for works including flue lining and gutter cleaning.
